Is your Organization doing Pro Bono? We’re Here to Help

February 7, 2020

For some lawyers looking to provide pro bono legal services, finding or developing the right organization can be a challenging endeavour. There have been issues around partnering with the right providers, indemnity coverage and transparency that can be barriers around delivering pro bono work.

The Law Society’s Approved Legal Services Providers (ALSP) program streamlines the process for established and new organizations to provide pro bono legal services.

The Law Society will be holding an information session on March 16 with an accompanying livestream to help individuals and organizations who are involved in pro bono legal services to understand the ALSP program, its benefits and how an organization can become eligible for ALSP status.

If you wish to find out more information about ALSPs or register for the information session, contact feedback@lawsociety.ab.ca.
