Date: October 26, 2020

Location: Online

More Info

Cost is a significant factor for people trying to access legal services. Unbundling legal services can be a cost effective and efficient alternative for people looking for legal help. The goal of this webinar is to encourage lawyers to offer unbundled services, and for the public to learn more about how these services work. Tune in to hear presenters from British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario speak about client and lawyer feedback, and to ask your questions about unbundled services.

Speakers:

John-Paul Boyd QC is an accredited family law arbitrator, family law mediator and parenting coordinator, a member of the bars of Alberta and British Columbia, and works at John Paul Boyd Arbitration Chambers. He presently serves on the board of directors of Family Mediation Canada and the steering committee of the National Family Law Arbitration Course.

Sonali Sharma is founder of Athena Law, a law firm based in B.C. She started Athena Law because she saw a need for affordable “unbundled” legal services, particularly in the areas of Family (out-of-court) and Wills and Estates practice. Sonali’s core strengths lie in her ability to connect with others.

Lisa Eisen is founder of Family Law: A La Carte, a Toronto based family law firm that offers unbundled legal services and legal coaching. In addition to being a family law lawyer, Lisa is a certified coach with the International Coaching Federation.

Hosted by Saskatchewan’s Legal Coaching and Unbundling Working Group and Canada’s A2J Week Organizers: https://www.sklcup.com/
