Join an in-person Table Talk group mentoring session in Calgary on Wednesday, March 20, from 12:15 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. The topic of this session is Courtroom Etiquette.
Discussions will focus on the rules and conventions of courtroom behaviour, how to deal with opposing counsel and the presiding judge, lawyer civility and other aspects of courtroom etiquette.
The purpose of these events is to bring together mentors and mentees from our Mentor Connect and Mentor Express programs to network and discuss important topics that impact lawyers. Each event features a specific discussion theme with mentors leading informal conversations among small groups of mentees.
Attendance is limited and spaces will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Lunch will be provided and the event is free of charge.

The Supreme Court of Canada will continue its time-honoured tradition of holding a welcome ceremony in the courtroom for its newest member, the Honourable Mary T. Moreau, at 10:30 a.m. ET on Monday, Feb. 19, 2024.
The Court invites members of the public to watch the live webcast of the ceremony.
The ceremony will be presided by the Right Honourable Richard Wagner, P.C., Chief Justice of Canada. Among those who will attend in-person are members of the Court, the family and friends of Justice Moreau, and other distinguished guests.
Justice Moreau was officially sworn in as a judge of the Supreme Court at a private ceremony on Nov. 6, 2023. You may find more information about Justice Moreau by reading her biography.

The Edmonton Community Legal Centre (ECLC) is hosting a webinar that will explore how law firms and legal clinics can enhance access to justice through the involvement of articling students in pro bono clinics.
