Call for Mandarin, Cantonese, and Korean Speaking Volunteer Lawyers – Edmonton Community Legal Centre

April 12, 2018

The Edmonton Community Legal Centre (ECLC) is in need of lawyers who are able to converse in Mandarin, Cantonese, or Korean. There is an increasing need for legal help for Edmontonians who are low income, don’t qualify for legal aid, unable to afford legal help, and experience language barriers. Addressing access to justice issues include providing free legal help and being able to effectively communicate with clients. ECLC assists clients with housing, employment, civil litigation, family law, estate, immigration and other legal matters.

Do you want to feel good, and spend once a month giving free legal advice to people who really need your help, but can’t afford to hire a lawyer? Call at 780.702.1725 ext. 285, or send an email. Daytime and evening volunteer shifts are available.
