This webinar explores the legal requirements, procedural hurdles and practical considerations involved when personal representatives are based abroad. Learn how to navigate bonding requirements, tax and residency issues, communication challenges, and cross-border coordination.

Family Mediation Canada is hosting an upcoming webinar on child-inclusive mediation. Child-inclusive mediation is an important and increasingly used practice in family dispute resolution. Drawing on recent Canadian research funded by the Law Foundation of Ontario – including a national survey of mediators and a Peel Region pilot involving the Office of the Children’s Lawyer and Peel Family Mediation Services – the presenters will examine what the findings suggest for practice and where further training and guidance may be needed.

Law Society President, Stacy Petriuk, KC, will moderate a discussion about the importance of the rule of law in the legal system, trends related to civility and professionalism, and how lawyers can gain confidence in navigating court matters.
