The Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (FACL) Western is a diverse coalition dedicated to promoting equity, justice and opportunity for pan-Asian Canadian legal professionals and the wider community. Each year, FACL Western hosts their Diversity in the City Gala, their signature event, to bring people together to celebrate the accomplishments of the community. This year, in celebration of Asian Heritage Month, the gala will be hosted on May 1, 2026 in Calgary, Alberta at the Hudson Event Space.

The gala features an evening of networking, dinner and speakers, recognizing individuals and organizations that have made meaningful contributions to diversity and inclusion within the legal profession. It is an opportunity for lawyers, judges, law students and allies across Western Canada to connect, share experiences and reaffirm a collective commitment to building a more representative and inclusive legal landscape. All members of the legal community are welcome to attend.
