Alberta Chief Justices Statement
On Jan. 27, 2026, Alberta’s Chief Justices issued a statement. The Law Society of Alberta strongly supports this statement and the importance of an independent judiciary that, alongside Alberta’s lawyers, works daily to safeguard the rights and freedoms of all Albertans while ensuring the sanctity of the rule of law.
Reminder of Rule of Law National Campaign
Alongside law societies from across the country, the Law Society of Alberta is proud to be a part of an ongoing national campaign called Ours to Protect to raise awareness about the importance of the rule of law and to unite Canadians around the shared values of democracy and justice.
