Lawyer Programs
We offer a variety of programs to support you in both providing legal services to clients and developing your own legal career.
Mentorship
Looking to participate in mentorship but not sure which Law Society program is right for you? See a short summary of each of our programs below or check out this overview chart for more information about each one.
Mentor Connect | A mentorship program where mentees self-match with a mentor and build a one-on-one relationship over a six-month period. |
Mentor Express | A mentorship program with less long-term commitment. Mentee’s browse an online gallery and can match themselves with up to twelve mentors for one-hour meetings throughout the program year (September to April). |
Table Talks | A series of in-person group mentorship sessions that bring together mentors and mentees to network and discuss important topics that effect lawyers. |
Indigenous Mentorship Program | A mentorship program that allows new lawyers, articling students or law students who identify as First Nation, Métis or Inuit to self-match with experienced Indigenous counsel. They meet one-on-one for advice, guidance and connections over a six-month period. |

AdvisorLink | A service linking lawyers or articling students with more experienced counsel to answer one-off substantive law inquiries in a wide range of practice areas. |
Assist* | A support program for lawyers facing a personal or professional issue, where you would get connected with a trained volunteer lawyer with experience in, or insight into, that issue. |
Indigenous Summer Student Program |
We work with law firms and organizations as well as law schools across Canada to connect prospective employers with first and second year Indigenous law students. |
Locum Connect | A conduit for interested locums and potential employers to connect with each other. |
Practice Management Consultations | A member of the Practice Management team will meet with you in-person over the course of several months to assist you in addressing any practice management problems. |
SoloNet | An online community for sole and small firm practitioners to share knowledge, ideas and experience. |
