Alberta Court of Justice Judicial Officer Webinar
In partnership with the Alberta Court of Justice, the Law Society of Alberta hosted a Zoom webinar highlighting the Alberta Court of Justice, its role in the Alberta legal system and the opportunities available to lawyers who are interested in applying for appointment throughout Alberta.
During the webinar, the Honourable Chief Justice Jim Hunter and the Honourable Deputy Chief Justice Joanne Durant discussed the Alberta Court of Justice, its service to Albertans and the appointment process, including:
- the role of Justices of the Peace and Justices;
- Specialized, Therapeutic and Indigenous Courts;
- judicial education and mentorship; and,
- the application process and compensation for Justices of the Peace and Justices.
