The Law Society’s 2017 Bencher Election is taking place this fall from November 1 – 15, 2017.
Please see below for important dates for both candidates and voters.
|June 1||Notification to all active members of the nominating period and important dates and deadlines.|
|August 15||Notice to all active members of the election, nomination period commences, nomination form, and reminder of important dates and deadlines.|
|September 15||Nominations must be received in the Law Society’s office by this date.|
|September 15||Members who are active on this date, according to the records of the Law Society, are eligible to appear on the official voter list.|
|November 1||Voting instructions will be sent via email to eligible voters. The preferred email address on file with the Law Society will be used. These instructions will enable voters to access the ballot.|
|November 1||Online voting period opens. While the election date is set as November 15, 2017, you may cast your vote online any time during the voting period.|
|November 15||Election date. Online voting period closes on this date at 4:30 p.m. (MST). The vote tally will occur immediately after 4:30 p.m. (MST) on November 15 and results will be made public shortly thereafter.|
