Notice to the Profession about the Honourable Ritu Khullar
The Law Society of Alberta is deeply saddened to share news of the passing of the Honourable Ritu Khullar, Chief Justice of Alberta and Chief Justice of the Courts of Appeal of Alberta, Nunavut and Northwest Territories.
“On behalf of the profession, I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to Chief Justice Khullar’s family, friends and colleagues. Ritu was a friend and supporter of the Law Society, and we valued her insight and our relationship with her over the years. Her contribution to the profession and then to the Courts will remain an important legacy and we will always remember her with affection and respect,” says Bud Melnyk, KC, President of the Law Society of Alberta.
