The Law Society of Alberta is seeking input from lawyers on proposed amendments to the Federation of Law Societies of Canada’s anti-money laundering Model Rules. The proposed amendments relate to:
- the “no cash” model rule
- client identification and verification requirements
- trust accounting provisions.
