- Bar Admission Program
If you are a student seeking admission to the Bar, you must successfully complete the Practice Readiness Education Program (PREP) during your articling term.
The PREP is a nine-month course administered by the Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education (CPLED). It consists of four phases where you will develop the competencies required to be admitted to the Bar as an entry-level lawyer. PREP is offered twice a year, with course start dates in either June or December.
There is a tuition fee for the PREP program and you may be eligible for a Law Society subsidy to cover a portion of the tuition fee. To register for PREP or find more information on tuition fees, the Law Society subsidy, scheduling, course content and admission requirements, visit the CPLED website.
