How to Create and Declare a CPD Plan
To comply with the CPD Rules, you must: 1) create and record your CPD Plan; and 2) declare to the Law Society that you have made your CPD Plan.
Step 1: Create and record your CPD Plan
By using the resources online at www.CPDAlberta.ca: The CPD Alberta website is an on-line tool tailored to assist you in assessing your CPD goals, preparing your CPD Plan and tracking your progress in implementing your CPD Plan. Online at www.CPDAlberta.ca. Use the CPD Alberta site to declare your plan even if you did not use the CPD profile planning and assessment tool. Click on the declaration function (I have a Plan and Wish to Declare). You will receive a return email confirming you have declared your CPD Plan. Please enable the cpd@lawsociety.ab.ca email address on your computer to ensure you receive your email confirmation.
If your CPD declaration is made online, it is not necessary to make it again on the Member Information Update Form
